Oil Painting Portrait – Part 3

I put a lot of work into the eyes since I last posted about this painting. It still needs a lot more work, but I really like the direction it’s going in. I need to work on the smirk, shirt and hair for sure, and I’m sure I’ll find more things to fix the more I look at it. I need to sit down with some coffee and give it a good stare down. My husband gave it a good critique a few days ago and pointed out a few things I hadn’t noticed. It’s so nice having a second set of eyes I can trust to be brutally honest.
