I think I’m finally getting somewhere with this painting. Although, it still doesn’t look a whole lot different from the last two posts. I darkened the middle background with lots of purples and a little blue too. It appears to have receded a bit into the distance with that. I also worked on getting more textures and details into the foreground to bring it forward. The next step is to repaint the tree and define some of the rock in the foreground.

The process has been pretty slow going. I was hoping to get this painting finished sooner, but I haven’t painted a landscape or this large in a while. I’m a bit rusty.
