I haven’t made it very far on this painting yet. As usual, life has been busy and I haven’t been the diligent artist that takes makes time for art. I’m relatively happy with the rocks in the foreground so far, but I may move things around a bit still. I think there is maybe too much foreground and not enough emphasis on the maze below. I tried really hard to use my watercolor for a reference for placement. Unfortunately the dimensions of the canvas are more squared than the watercolor paper so I’m having trouble getting everything I want just where I want it.

It is officially October and I am participating in the Inktober challenge. I say that like it’s an official thing that I signed up for, it’s not. I just draw in ink and post it to instagram under #inktober2018 every day this month. I have two successful days under my belt so far and I’m not dreading it yet. Obviously I’m not off to a super start, missing one day already, but I think I can make it up or honestly, just not worry about it.
