At the end of March I entered two of my paintings from my Utrecht Color Theory Challenge in at art show hosted by the John Wesley Powell River History Museum in Green River, Utah. Since the museum is about an hour away, it wasn’t until this week that I was finally able to visit and see the art show in person and see if I had won any awards or not.
The show continues through April 22, 2019. If you’re in the Green River, Utah area, come check it out.
I was very pleased, and a little excited to see that my painting “Intimidation” had won second place. I was even more pleased since I was competing in the professional category against some of the artists who’s work frequents my local gallery. There was some really beautiful art submitted from some amazing artists and I feel very honored to have my work hung beside theirs.
Both of these paintings are available for sale. They are framed and the price reflects the cost of the frame. The code BG319 will still provide $30 off the total price if you purchase two paintings from the Utrecht Color Theory Series.
